Meet the Board
Jordan holds a Bachelor's in business Administration from Rasmussen College. She currently works developing and maintaining the Redbird Career Portfolio program as a Graduate Assistant at Illinois State University.
Within the MBAA, she aspires to create new opportunities for association members and MBA students alike. She also hopes to develop the association in such a way as to allow it to continue to grow and increase its impact at Illinois State.
Jordan aspires to work in project and team management once she completes her MBA program. She has a specific interest in the environments and dynamics that affect groups of employees.
In her free time, Jordan enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, running and kayaking. She also enjoys spending time with her two dogs and doing DIY projects.
Hernan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Asuncion, Paraguay (his home country) in 2013. Before coming to the U.S. to further his educational career, he worked as the Administrative Manager at one of the largest law firms in Paraguay. He currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant in the MQM Department of the College of Business at ISU.
He looks forward to developing a strong network among MBA students, and to provide them with opportunities and tools to further their professional development. He believes success is highly determined by one’s ability to make the right connections with right people, and he wants to be the person MBA students can rely on to build a successful network.
In the future, Hernan would like to focus his career in the Human Resource Management field, either as an executive at a corporation, or by starting his own consulting company.
Soccer is his favorite sport, so he loves playing and watching soccer. He also likes traveling, biking, playing tennis, and reading.
Alina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Pokhara University in Nepal.
As part of the MBAA, she hopes to learn and gain valuable experience. She hopes to promote personal growth of MBA Students through communication, teamwork, and idea sharing.
After completing her MBA, Alina hopes to pursue a career in data analytics. She is also interested in entrepreneurial projects.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and listening to audio books. She also likes traveling, camping, and to draw.
Amanda earned a Bachelor’s in Mathematics with minors in Marketing and Economics from the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS). During the Summer of 2016, she worked as a compliance intern at Midwest Insurance Company. After graduating in May 2017, she worked as an Underwriting Associate at Midwest Insurance Company. Currently she works as a Graduate Assistant at Illinois State University for the Business Department where she is responsible for promoting, developing and maintaining the Redbird Career Portfolio.
She hopes to promote the MBA Association to become larger than it ever has been in the past. She believes the increase in the number of members and activities will create more important connections and experiences for students.
Amanda would like to work as a business/financial analyst for a successful company. She hopes to help a business grow with her analytical abilities, and be able to find ways for a company to increase their productivity and/or cut costs.
In her free time, Amanda loves playing any type of sport. She played softball during undergrad, and misses playing sports every day. Hanging out with friends is her favorite thing to do. She also likes to ride bikes, hike, watch movies, and listen to music.
Director of Communications
Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Consumer Economics from the University of Illinois, with a minor in Leadership Studies. He is currently working on consulting projects through the Innovation Consulting Community at Illinois State. He is also involved with the Graduate Student Advisory Council.
He hopes to help grow the MBA Association by increasing student participation. He would like to help other MBA students network with industry experts, grow as professionals, and succeed in the program.
In the future, Alex would like to work in Financial Planning for a successful Wealth Management firm. He would like to provide his clients with holistic financial planning to help prepare them for life’s expected (and unexpected) events.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys traveling to new places, spending time with family and friends, attending concerts/sporting events, and helping on the family farm.
Director of Career Development
Atash earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Finance and Accounting majors and Economics minor from North South University of Bangladesh.
As a career director of MBAA, he wants to bring current MBA students and alumni of ISU MBA program in the same platform and build a strong connection among them so that everyone can help each other for career development opportunities. He also would like to build a strong connection between MBA students and large organizations in the Midwest region so that students can learn about the organizations and professional opportunities to help them grow professionally.
Atash would like to work as a data analyst or financial analyst in a large organization and help the organization to make important business decision which is very important in the dynamic business environment.
In his free time, he enjoys biking, reading books, listening music, and traveling to new places. He also likes to play cricket and badminton.
Director of Social Programs
Maimuna is currently in her first year of the MBA Program at Illinois State University.
Being a member of MBA Association, she would like to get involved in promoting the MBA program and the College of Business at Illinois State University. As Director of Social Programs, she would love the opportunity to give students her insight and to help arrange activities such as networking, leadership development, relationship building, voluntary works and career advising.
After completing her MBA, Maimuna hopes to pursue her PhD in Risk Management and Insurance at a US business school.
In her free time, she likes to watch movies and read Bengali Literatures.
Director of Fundraising
Asim has a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance. Currently he works as Graduate Assistant in the Finance, Insurance and Law department at Illinois State University.
As part of the executive board, he plans to make the MBAA a platform for business students to interact with industry professionals and develop networks. He also sees his role as a platform to help provide all MBA students an opportunity to learn about the skill set desired in the business world by engaging with professionals on student consulting projects.
After graduation, Asim aspires to become a management consultant in business strategy.
In his free time, Asim prefers meeting people to learn more about different cultures. He also uses his free time to watch television, movies, sports and learn new things.
